Liza Tewell is Online Editor at Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), the largest retail co-op in the US, where she works with natural and paid search and website editing and writing.
Born in a co-op hospital room with a view of Seattle's Space Needle, Liza Tewell began her Marketing adventure in commercial photography, honing her camera-ready art skills for clients such as the Westin, Seattle Opera and Nastymix Records.
Fearing the lasting effects of exposure to photographic chemicals (which include cyanide) Liza transitioned to the less fatal art of writing at the Bon Marche (now Macy's) after which she spent 10 years with Eddie Bauer, benefitting from the wisdom of Eddie's original copywriter, John Kime. Liza culminated her EB tenure as Copy Manager for the Eddie Bauer Home division during its heyday of double-digit sales increases before moving into web editing at Nordstrom.com.
Liza holds a Master's Degree in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California. When not working she races sailboats.
